Tencent makes Hy4 available across six services

Tencent describes Hy4 as its latest-generation large language model and says it introduces visual understanding to the Hy series for the first time.[1] The company says the model can use command-line and graphical interfaces to carry out work and everyday tasks.[1] Tencent also says it specially trained Hy4 on professional software including Blender and CAD.[1] Compared with the Hy4 preview, Tencent says it scaled up both pre-training and post-training, and reports gains in instruction following, long-context understanding, long-horizon tasks and deep research.[2]

Tencent says Hy4 ranked first among open-weight models in an evaluation of 579 real-world financial tasks, conducted with 213 professionals, including 153 experts from leading financial institutions.[2] The company reports a score of 3.04, compared with 2.97 for DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 and 2.68 each for Kimi K3.1 Pro and GLM-5.3.[1] Tencent also reports that Hy4’s internal hallucination rate fell from 15.76% for the preview to 5.45%.[2] It says Hy4 still trails top proprietary models in areas including research-level mathematics, long-horizon coding and advanced visual question answering.[2]

Tencent says Hy4 is available on Tencent Cloud, OpenRouter, CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Yuanbao and ima.[2] Its stated API prices are approximately S$0.90 per million input tokens, US$2.70 per million output tokens and US$0.045 per million cached input tokens.[1] Tencent also says Hy4 scored an average of 83.18 and had a 96.15% pass rate in WorkBuddy evaluation benchmarks, ranking first in nine of 12 scenarios in mainland China.[1] These figures are Tencent’s reported results; the evidence does not establish how they compare across independent evaluations.

Tencent plans to release Hy4’s model weights and system cards in the coming days.[1] It says it partnered with the vLLM and SGLang communities to support the planned weights release, and that a comprehensive system card covering safety evaluations and additional technical details will accompany the weights.[2] Tencent reports a score of 30.4 out of 100 on its Hy-BioExperimentBench biosafety evaluation.[2] It also says its cybersecurity assessments found no elevated risk in tasks including cryptographic reversal, defeating binary obfuscation and vulnerability exploitation.[2]
