Proposed cuts span locations

Estonian World reports that the proposed Estonia cuts amount to 70% of Pipedrive’s 380 employees there, comprising 219 positions in Tallinn and 48 in Tartu.[2] The report also says Pipedrive’s Lisbon office, which has about 220 employees, is set to close.[2] Pipedrive says the proposals would substantially reduce the size and complexity of the company across all its locations, and that the majority of its current roles would be affected.[1] Developers in Berlin would be affected, while the report mentions a smaller operation in Prague.[2]

Consultation precedes final decisions

Pipedrive says no final decisions will be made until consultation concludes where consultation applies.[1] The company said it would speak with each employee over the next two days about whether their role was at risk and what would happen next.[1] The proposed organization would have fewer teams, management layers and locations, according to Pipedrive.[1] For employees and managers, the proposal’s scope is clear; individual outcomes remain subject to the consultation process.

A changing sales-software strategy

Pipedrive says small businesses are increasingly asking AI for software recommendations, reducing the free traffic that helped power its growth, while paid traffic used to replace it costs more.[1] The company also says customers increasingly expect sales software to capture work and data automatically, recommend actions and do some work for them.[1] Pipedrive plans to reduce its reliance on paid search and generate demand through its product, brand and content.[1] It says it will keep investing in its core CRM, with sharper attention to quality and reliability.[1]

Nova is part of the AI response

Pipedrive says it is building an AI-native sales system for teams, with Nova as its starting point.[1] The company announced Nova as a generally available AI meeting-intelligence tool, globally available in all its plans at no additional cost.[3] Pipedrive says Nova briefs salespeople before calls, records and transcribes conversations during meetings, then drafts CRM updates afterward.[3] It also says Nova captures sales conversations, updates records, recommends next steps and takes on routine work.[1] Pipedrive serves more than 100,000 businesses in over 180 countries, according to the company.[2]

The proposal connects workforce changes to a shift in how Pipedrive says customers discover and expect to use sales software. For SaaS and sales teams, the announcement is a reason to assess how AI features, customer acquisition and organizational design fit together—without assuming the proposal has finalized individual job outcomes.
