OpenAI and Oracle expand AI tools across ChatGPT and Oracle products

Oracle AI Workspace is described as a single user experience combining OpenAI models with Oracle applications, enterprise data and cloud services.[1] Oracle says employees can use ChatGPT plugins to find information, complete approved workflows and act alongside Oracle systems.[1] The planned connections include Fusion Applications, NetSuite, Oracle AI Database, OCI and other enterprise tools and data sources.[1] Oracle says existing business processes, rules, permissions and approval authority remain in place.[3] The company says Workspace is coming soon and will provide more availability and capability details closer to launch.[3]

Oracle AI Security Mesh is a managed service that uses OpenAI cyber models to find and fix vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure.[1] Oracle says it covers OCI, other clouds and on-premises environments, and combines the models with testing tools, independent validation, testing infrastructure and operational safeguards.[1] App Composer supports APEXlang, which Oracle describes as enabling generative development without opaque application code that is difficult to maintain.[1]

Oracle describes its AI SMB Bundle as a free-to-start offer providing small businesses $12,000 in Oracle cloud credits each year.[1] The bundle includes ChatGPT Business, Oracle AI Workspace, Codex, Oracle App Composer and OCI.[1] Oracle says NetSuite QuickStart is also included, providing a foundation for operations such as invoicing and cash flow.[1] Separately, OpenAI says U.S. Oracle customers can purchase the OpenAI API, Codex and ChatGPT Work through Oracle Marketplace.[2] Oracle says Workspace is coming soon and will provide more information about availability and capabilities closer to launch.[3]
