Anthropic introduces Enterprise Frontier Safeguards, returning control of logs to customers

Anthropic is launching Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS), which will roll out to customers in phases later this fall. The introduction of EFS resolves a direct conflict between Anthropic's need to run multi-session misuse detection on Fable 5 and the strict zero data retention demands of regulated industries. By moving the storage of logs into customer-controlled S3 or Azure environments, the company satisfies compliance concerns while shifting the burden of reviewing flagged alerts to the customers' own security teams.
