Availability varies by tool
Anthropic dated its announcement October 8, 2026.[1] Claude Dashboards is in beta on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, while Claude Motion is in beta on Team and Enterprise plans.[1][2] Anthropic also says Docs, Slides, and Design are out of beta and available on every Claude plan, including Free.[1] For enterprise administrators, Dashboards and Motion are off by default, while Docs, Slides, and Design turn on by default October 15.[1]
Dashboards are for quick exploration
Dashboards can connect to data platforms including Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, and Snowflake, and to connected apps such as Salesforce.[1][2] Users can ask questions in plain language; Anthropic says Claude writes the queries and builds a dashboard from the connected data.[2] Each chart shows when its data was last refreshed, and users can inspect a chart’s query or ask Claude to explain it.[1] Anthropic describes the feature as suited to quick, exploratory questions rather than deeper analysis.[2] Users can send dashboards to tools including Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, and Sigma for further analysis; Looker, monday.com, and Tableau handoffs are coming soon.[1]
Motion makes editable animations
Anthropic says Motion can create report explainers, animated charts, and product walkthroughs.[3] It builds animations as editable code that can animate text, charts, shapes, and images.[3] Users can change an individual word, number, or timing detail without changing the rest of the animation.[3] Motion does not use a video-generation model and does not create realistic footage or people.[3] Users can export animations as MP4 files or open them in tools including Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, and Runway; Canva and Captions are listed as coming soon.[3][1]
Collaboration and controls expand
Anthropic says teams can work together on the same document, deck, design, or dashboard, and share slides, designs, dashboards, and animations outside their organization or with anyone who has a link, subject to administrator settings.[1] Artifacts now support customer-managed encryption keys, and administrators can select which artifact templates their organization uses.[1] PowerPoint and PDF exports preserve editor formatting, while decks can be exported to Google Slides as editable files.[1] Users can also edit documents, decks, and designs in the Claude mobile app.[1] Anthropic reports that users have created more than 45 million documents, decks, and designs in Claude.[1]
Teams can test a conversational route from connected data to an initial dashboard, while keeping deeper analysis in dedicated tools. Motion’s editable-code approach may suit teams that need to revise specific details in explainers without rebuilding the entire animation.
